The soft alternative to a moulded cleaner. A thick woven cotton pad sits between the sieve mesh and the backwire and travels under the mesh as the sifter oscillates, wiping the cloth rather than striking it. Cotton is chosen precisely because it is gentle: it clears blinding without abrading the bolting cloth, which extends screen life - the trade-off is that it cleans less aggressively, so it suits fine flour passages rather than coarse primary sieves. Per MillerKnox's own listing, the woven line comes in red, blue, green or white as an identification aid, letting operators sort pads by process or machine.
